NEDO SV Foresight Seminars: Inventing the Future: Session 20 ~ Innovation in Physical AI: Learning, Understanding, & Interacting in the Real World~

The NEDO 20th Foresight Seminar was a tremendous success, reaching full capacity! The seminar focused on Innovation in Physical AI, and we explored how AI is rapidly advancing from digital domains into the physical world, transforming real‑world operations across multiple sectors. The session brought together senior leaders from industry, R&D, and the investment community.

Following the introduction of Japanese government initiatives to strengthen physical AI development from our  Director General, Sosuke Tanaka, our distinguished speakers shared invaluable insights into how Physical AI is reshaping heavy industries, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare by embedding AI into physical systems and driving step‑change improvements in productivity, safety, and cost efficiency, while enabling capabilities far beyond traditional automation.

It was especially encouraging to see the strong U.S.–Japan communication and active collaboration emerging in this critical field.

Interactive Q&A sessions further enriched the conversation, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with experts and explore new possibilities for cross‑sector and cross‑border collaboration.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all speakers and our moderator for their invaluable contributions and to every participant who joined us and helped make this seminar a great success.

We look forward to seeing you all at our future events!
