NEDO SILICON VALLEY NEWS VOL.30 – NEDO PARTICIPATED IN “THE VAULT MASHUP: JAPAN AND NORDIC COUNTRIES” AT THE VAULT

On April 27th, NEDO participated in “The Vault Mashup: Japan and Nordic Countries” at The Vault, which is a collaborative work space in San Francisco. Other participating organizations were JETRO San Francisco, Silicon Vikings and Enterprise Estonia. During the panel discussion titled “Exporting Silicon Valley – Energizing the Global Startup Ecosystem”, the panelists from Japan  and Nordic countries discussed each country’s startup ecosystem, how these ecosystems are different from Silicon Valley and what are the strengths of the startups in their own countries. (Panelists: Miyoko Oki, Principal at Serend, Andrus Viirg, Director at Enterprise Estonia, Silicon Valley, Charlotte Danielsson, Executive Director at Silicon Vikings, and Tatsuki Tomita, COO/Co-founder at Vivaldi Technologies LLC.) The event was also a great occasion for the Japanese community and the Nordic community to interact and look for the opportunities to collaborate.
