On February 16, NEDO and Silicon Valley Forum held Japanese Pitch Night – Winter 2017, where technology startups and budding entrepreneurs pitched their businesses to the audience. Seven companies on stage this time included finalists from “NEDO TCP 2016 *” and presented their technologies and businesses to the investors and corporations in Silicon Valley, aiming to raise funds and seek collaborative opportunities.

The event started with a panel discussion on university startups; featuring representatives of large corporations which invest in or collaborate with startups and directors of accelerators from UC Berkeley and Stanford University. The event had over 200 attendees showing there is a high level of interest in Japanese startups in Silicon Valley.

*NEDO TCP (Technology Commercialization Program) is a program to support technology startups, budding entrepreneurs and researchers who are interested in building and expanding businesses using their technologies.
