NEDO Silicon Valley News Vol. 2
The innovative research and development activities of NEDO were featured at the Silicon Valley Energy Summit 2015 as part of the Solutions Showcase at Stanford University on June 25. Two California demonstration projects were exhibited to highlight NEDO’s work in promoting a sustainable future through the transition towards smart communities. NEDO Silicon Valley engaged with many interested attendees to present the Electric Vehicle DC Fast Charging Project and the Energy Storage Project which are being conducted in coordination with the State of California. We received very positive feedback including strong support and anticipation for both projects.
The Silicon Valley Energy Summit is an annual event which was hosted by Stanford University’s Precourt Energy Efficiency Center (PEEC) and Sustainable Silicon Valley. The conference attracted hundreds of the region’s leading industry stakeholders to engage in important energy discussions and featured prominent speakers such as George Shultz, former U.S. Secretary of State, Treasury, and Labor, and Dan Arvizu, Director of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
